What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-time Veterinary Technician Assistant position at Community Spay-Neuter Clinic?
Community Spay-Neuter Clinic is hiring a Veterinary Technician for a 2 day per week position (Tuesday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Thursday) for 8-5 shifts at our Topsham clinic. We are a small but dedicated group that is committed to making spay-neuter affordable to everyone and reducing the population of homeless cats in Maine.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year experience handling and medicating cats in a veterinary or shelter clinic setting. This position is responsible for client communication during patient drop-off and pick-up, and the intake, medical and surgical (including pre-op and anesthetic recovery) care of our feline surgical patients, administering medications, and assisting our technicians and doctors in all related clinical activities.
The ideal candidate is upbeat and positive, a great team player, comfortable in a fast-paced setting, attentive to detail and big picture needs, and motivated by the clinic's mission of spay-neuter affordability and solving cat homelessness.
