This position performs a variety of transactional duties with professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to member satisfaction.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Member Transactions: Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments. Transfer funds between accounts as requested, ensuring each transaction is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Accuracy & Accountability: Balance the cash machine and daily transactions in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Recordkeeping: Verify, post, and maintain member and Credit Union records to ensure accuracy, security, and compliance.
- Member Engagement: Greet members by name, provide routine information about products and services, and direct members to appropriate departments for specialized assistance.
- Relationship Building: Identify opportunities to cross-sell Credit Union products and services that can help members achieve their financial goals.
- Operational Support: Perform a variety of administrative tasks such as copying, data entry, and answering phones to support branch operations.
- Teamwork: Perform other job-related duties as assigned, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Performance Measurements:
- Provide friendly, professional, personal, and confidential service to all members and associates.
- Balance cash machine daily with total offages not to exceed $50 in a month period in accordance with Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Accurately post transactions..
- Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
- Proactively seek opportunities to identify appropriate products and services for the greater benefit of the member.
- Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
- Maintain a professional work environment and businesslike appearance
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience One month to twelve months of similar or related experience.
Education A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills Work involves contact with persons beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for the purpose of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion. Outside contacts take the form of service to the public (members or vendors), requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and information.
Other Skills General office equipment such as calculators, computers, photocopiers, and scanners. Includes the ability to operate encoding, coin counting, and cash counting machines. Basic knowledge of established teller procedures and policies. Understanding of Credit Union operations. Maintains confidentiality related to Credit Union operations and work-related information.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to get on the floor and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
