POSITION SUMMARY

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for providing on-site behavioral assessment, plan development, consultation, and training across CSAAC’s adult residential and vocational programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field (or higher) education; Must hold active Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) national certification, and Behavior Analyst License in the State of Maryland (LBA), with knowledge in the field of autism.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience providing services as BCBA for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Skills: Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, as well as good organizational and coordinative ability. Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise patience, care, ethics, and concern in new and sometimes stressful situations. Computer literacy required, with proficiency in standard business software applications (i.e., word processing, e-mail and spreadsheets).

NATURE AND SCOPE

•Provides behavior management consultation to vocational and residential DSPs to assist adults with autism and/or other developmental disabilities in meeting their behavioral goals as well as to provide direction in matters relating to the residential and vocational programs.

•Travels with on-site and hybrid models to residences and vocational settings to monitor Behavior Plan implementation and provide ongoing consultation and training to DSPs.

•Investigates behavioral difficulties of individuals in residential and/or vocational settings; makes recommendations on possible solutions and approaches.

•Conducts regular on-site visits to monitor fidelity of behavior plan implementation and provide feedback.

•Conducts evaluations at the residences and in the vocational program of DSP implementation of Behavior Plan, as assigned by the Psychologist.

•Provides feedback on the implementation of instructional programs, data collection and community inclusion for the DSPs.

•Consults with other professionals including nursing, dietitian, other mental health and medical professionals.

•Provides consultation notes to supervisor regarding on-site visits with the individual’s assigned staff within 48 hours of visit.

•Documents findings, recommendations, and progress in compliance with CSAAC standards and DDA requirements.

•Conducts functional assessments, life skill assessments, and develops instructional training programs as directed by his/her supervisor.

•Conducts initial training to DSPs on new individuals entering adult services.

Provide supervision hours to BCBA's and other prospective BCBA's as needed.

•Adheres to CSAAC’s operational policies, including on-site presence and timely documentation submission.

•Mentors and supports development of future CSAAC behavioral staff, contributing to long-term workforce sustainability.

•Collaborates with the Licensed Psychologist for case consultation and advanced clinical input as needed.

•Consults with Psychologist on designing treatment strategies for use in behavioral and instructional programming and provides training on those strategies to vocational and residential staff.

•Consults with Psychologist to facilitate individuals' behavioral and vocational progress.

•Attends team meetings as directed.

•Other behavioral analytic duties as needed.

•Completes training in CSAAC’s CIMS system for service and behavior notes.

REQUIRED TRAINING/PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

Must be an active Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in active, good standing. Should hold an active Maryland State License as Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) or be eligible for MD LBA upon hire. BCBA is required to maintain active certification and licensure throughout career at CSAAC.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
