Through its Program Services Department, CSS operates the Education Debt Consumer Assistance Program (EDCAP), a nationally recognized initiative that helps students, graduates, and families navigate higher education financing and student loan repayment. EDCAP provides free counseling and assistance to borrowers seeking help with repayment options, loan forgiveness programs, default prevention, financial aid issues, and other education debt concerns.
As EDCAP expands its services and statewide partnerships with employers, higher education institutions, and community organizations, CSS seeks to hire a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the program's marketing operations, consumer outreach campaigns, partner communications, analytics, and digital engagement efforts. The Marketing Manager will play a key role in increasing awareness, utilization, and impact of EDCAP services throughout New York State.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of marketing automation systems, intake processes, outreach workflows, and partner communications to ensure effective, personalized, and compliant engagement strategies.
- Manage the planning, execution, and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, SMS, direct mail, social media, and digital advertising platforms to increase awareness and utilization of EDCAP services.
- Develop and maintain analytics dashboards, reports, and performance metrics; monitor campaign effectiveness and recommend data-driven improvements to outreach and marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with program staff, external partners, and vendors to develop, adapt, and distribute marketing, educational, and co-branded communications materials.
- Oversee EDCAP's digital presence, including website content management, SEO initiatives, social media coordination, and user engagement activities.
- Manage paid media campaigns, including budgeting, conversion tracking, reporting, and optimization across digital advertising platforms.
- Coordinate marketing calendars, communications schedules, and project timelines to ensure the timely delivery of outreach and engagement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of EDCAP's marketing, communications, and outreach objectives.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Two to five years of experience in marketing operations, marketing automation, digital marketing, communications, customer relationship management, or a related field.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, digital advertising platforms, and marketing analytics tools (e.g., ActiveCampaign, Salesforce, Google Analytics, WordPress, Canva, or similar platforms) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience managing marketing campaigns, outreach initiatives, and digital communications, including social media, website content, and email marketing.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and use data to inform marketing strategies and measure performance.
- Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits: The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $95,000.00. Physical Requirements: Office work consisting of sitting, use of a computer, virtual meetings, presentations, and other related duties. Occasional travel throughout New York State may be required.
CSS currently offers a hybrid work environment requiring onsite work at CSS’ office at least two days per week and three days per week remote work.
