Description
Community School of Naples (CSN), an independent college preparatory school in Southwest Florida, is currently seeking a motivated and talented Middle School (grades 6-8) Math Teacher, beginning in August 2026.
A successful candidate will demonstrate passion and expertise in the teaching of math, specifically, the ability to provide an engaging and challenging classroom that encourages students to lean into academic excellence. A qualified candidate will also be considered based on the following aspects of our daily life at Community School of Naples: a strong desire to work in a collegial setting with well-rounded and experienced middle school faculty, the ability to adapt to an emerging culture of increased technology that changes on a daily basis, a proven track record of proactively communicating with students and parents, and an understanding of the needs of adolescents and how that translates to their learning styles. This full-time position requires teaching five classes a day, with an average class size of 14-16 students. The MS Math teacher will be part of a grade team and lead an advisory of 12-14 students. Candidates need to demonstrate a willingness to participate in cross-curricular projects and have the ability to chaperone overnight field trips (typically, once a year) as well as to coach math teams.

Compensation And Benefits
The appointment is for a full-time, instructional position for the 2026-27 academic year with a start date of August 10, 2026. The position is paid on an annual salary basis, commensurate with experience and other qualifications. All employees are eligible to participate in CSN’s generous 403(b) retirement program as well as Aflac, Legal Shield, pet insurance and Teladoc offerings. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related field, or education with an emphasis in secondary mathematics and a minimum of three years of teaching math (both regular and accelerated levels) at the middle school level required.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to meet important deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, high-stakes environment.
- Commitment to participating in professional organizations, conferences, subject-related competitions, etc.
- Lift/ carry up to 25 lbs.
- Stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Sit at a desk while working on the computer.
- Bend, twist, kneel, stoop, climb, crouch, balance on a regular basis.
- Detect and exchange accurate information.
- Have close visual acuity to perform essential functions of the job.
