Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate educator to deliver a high-quality, personalized education program in History, English Language Arts, and Social Studies for students in Grades 6-8. This position offers the opportunity to join a creative, collaborative, and mission-driven team at the Community School for Creative Education. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain a culture of high expectations for all students. - Develop and implement lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with Common Core Standards and Waldorf-Inspired Methods, utilizing TCI’s “History Alive” and Waldorf curricula. - Assess student learning regularly; analyze data to refine and differentiate instruction based on individual needs. - Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and share best practices across the school. - Communicate proactively with students and families regarding classroom activities and student progress. - Engage parents and guardians as partners in the educational process. - Support positive student behavior to ensure active engagement from every learner. - Participate actively in professional development and work closely with lead teachers, the principal, and instructional coaches. - Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and performance data. - Uphold and support the mission, vision, and core values of the Community School for Creative Education. - Perform other related duties as assigned.
