Afternoon Caregiver Needed in Lehigh Acres - Spanish Required

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

The Individual is a 59-year-old male who requires a caregiver to provide supervision and assistance after returning from his day program. Responsibilities include community outings such as a 30-minute walk, assistance with bathing, light household organization related to the individual's personal spaces, and ensuring his safety and well-being.

By applying for this position, you acknowledge and understand that this role is offered on an independent contractor basis, and not as an employee of the company. The role pays $15.00 hourly.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM. This individual needs support between 5:30 AM - 7:30 AM as well.

Responsibilities and Duties you can expect in the role:

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks
• Meal preparation and light cleaning
• Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Complete daily progress notes

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Are 18 years of age or older
