Community Quick Care is seeking a dependable, friendly, and highly organized Medical Assistant / Medical Receptionist who can work effectively in both the front office and clinical areas of our busy medical practice.
This is a true hybrid position. The successful candidate must be comfortable checking patients in and out, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, collecting payments, assisting providers, obtaining vital signs, performing clinical tests, and helping maintain an efficient patient flow.

Primary Responsibilities
Front-Office Responsibilities
- Greet patients professionally and create a welcoming experience
- Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to patient questions
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
- Register new patients and update demographic information
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Collect copayments, deductibles, balances, and self-pay charges
- Scan and upload identification cards, insurance cards, and medical documents
- Obtain completed patient forms and required signatures
- Maintain accurate information in the electronic health record
- Communicate patient messages to providers and clinical staff
- Assist with medical-record requests, referrals, and administrative tasks
- Protect patient privacy and comply with HIPAA requirements
- Bring patients to examination rooms and prepare them for visits
- Obtain and document vital signs, weight, height, medical history, medications, and reason for visit
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures
- Perform point-of-care testing as trained and authorized, including tests for strep, flu, COVID-19, pregnancy, glucose, A1C, and other services
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Administer injections and medications when properly trained, authorized, and directed by a provider
- Perform EKGs, spirometry, hearing tests, pulse oximetry, and other clinical procedures
- Assist with physical examinations, including school, sports, employment, and DOT-related visits
- Prepare examination rooms and restock clinical supplies
- Clean and disinfect examination rooms and equipment between patients
- Follow infection-control, safety, and OSHA procedures
- Track laboratory orders and assist with communicating results as directed
- Document clinical information accurately in the electronic health record
- Help providers maintain timely and efficient patient flow
- Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant training, certification, or relevant clinical experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a primary care, urgent care, walk-in clinic, or similar medical setting preferred
- Experience with electronic health records and medical-office software preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and patient registration preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain it
- Phlebotomy experience is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish ability is a plus
- Must be comfortable working in both front-office and clinical roles throughout the workday
- Friendly, professional, and compassionate approach to patient care
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and change priorities as patient needs change
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Accurate data-entry and documentation skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

The employee must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Move between the front desk, examination rooms, and clinical work areas
- Bend, reach, and assist with routine patient-care activities
- Lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Use a computer, telephone, medical equipment, and standard office equipment
- Perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
