Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records using QuickBooks
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure all accounts are balanced and discrepancies are resolved promptly
- Record journal entries, including debits & credits, ensuring adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and proper double-entry bookkeeping procedures
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently, including invoice processing and payment tracking
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed
- Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial data
- Prepare financial reports and summaries to support management decision-making and audit readiness
Requirements
- Proven experience with QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, GAAP standards, and governmental accounting practices
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and account analysis
- Experience with payroll management and tax compliance is highly desirable
- Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and external auditors
- Assist the accounting department in daily, monthly and annual activities
- Maintain accurate and complete records, including ledgers, invoices and receipts
- Use documents to verify, record and process transactions
- Speak with vendors and suppliers to ensure charges are accurate, and payments are received promptly
- Communicate with clients to discuss account statuses, charges or discrepancies
