Overview: FULL TIME POSITION!!!! 40 HOURS PER WEEK!!
We are seeking a dedicated Probation Officer to join our team. As a Probation Officer, you will play a crucial role in supervising and assisting individuals on probation to ensure compliance with court-ordered conditions and facilitate their rehabilitation.
Duties:
- Conduct assessments to determine probationers' needs and risks
- Develop and implement individualized case plans
- Monitor probationers' progress and compliance with court orders
- Provide counseling, guidance, and referrals to support services
- Conduct drug testing as needed
- Prepare detailed reports for court hearings
- Collaborate with law enforcement, social services, and community resources
- Respond to crisis situations effectively
Requirements:
- Minimum of an Associate Degree (Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred) and/or Up to FIVE Years previous experience in law enforcement, social work, or related field
- Knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques
- Strong report writing skills
- Ability to manage cases effectively
- Proficiency in crisis management
- Excellent interviewing skills
