As an Employment Specialist, youâll help individuals with barriers to employment find meaningful work, build relationships with local employers, and support people as they take real steps forward in their lives.
This role is perfect for someone who doesnât want to sit behind a desk all dayâyouâll spend the majority of your time out in the community, making connections and creating opportunities.
What Youâll Be Doing
This is a fast-paced, people-centered role where no two days look the same.
You will:
- Support a caseload of individuals actively seeking and maintaining employment
- Build real relationships with clientsâhelping them identify goals, strengths, and opportunities
- Connect with local employers weekly to develop job opportunities tailored to your clients
- Spend ~60â65% of your time in the community (job sites, coffee shops, offices, etc.)
- Help clients navigate benefits (SSI, Medicaid, etc.) and understand how employment impacts them
- Provide ongoing support to help clients getâand keepâjobs
- Collaborate with a supportive team to problem-solve and celebrate wins
- Document services and progress in a timely and organized way
