COMPENSATION: $67,359 - $80,831, Home Office Grade 6

THE OPPORTUNITY

YES Prep needs a dynamic Manager of Analytics with with a robust set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. As a YES Prep employee, you will achieve jaw-dropping results, create pathways to opportunity for our students, and build transformative relationships.

To put it simply, you will be creating and maintaining a portfolio of data visualization reports, leading strategies to take action from data insights, and managing a junior data analyst. You will play an integral role in empowering stakeholders to make data‐driven decisions, including daily choices and long‐term strategic decisions, by providing accurate, timely, and accessible data and assisting teams to derive insights from the data.

THE ROLE

When you join the YES Prep team, some of the exciting work and responsibilities will include:

• Working with the Analytics team to scope end-user requirements and project plan for advanced interactive and dynamic data visualizations to meet functional needs;
• Managing a junior Data Analyst;
• Staying atop industry benchmarks to provide context for performance;
• Delivering data, analyses and insights from complex data sets that enable us to drive strategicpriorities;
• Working directly with school administration and organizational leadership to gather functional requirements, working with departmental team to synthesize final functional requirements, and working to strategically find solutions to requirements;
• Evaluating data sets to determine best data visualization methods to present information;
• Testing, validating, and evaluating department data visualizations for accuracy, performance, and alignment with end-user requirements;
• Acting as a strategic partner by resolving end-user questions in a timely, friendly, and proactive manner;
• Writing requirements specifications and other required documents in accordance with documentation standards;
• Developing training and end-user support for data visualizations and reports;
• Designing and providing training to organization leadership on the use, manipulation, and analysis of interactive data visualization;
• Additional duties as assigned.

THE MUST HAVES

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
• 3-4 years of experience as a data analyst
• Extensive experience in data visualization software such as PowerBi or Tableau
• Experience working with SQL databases
• Ability to work with large datasets and databases
• Proven track record of data analysis to solve problems and drive improvement
• Proven ability to manage projects, lead teams, and learn and utilize technological skills

• Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
• Ability to work urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment

• Compensation – This position is an exempt, salaried position; offers commensurate with experience.
• Health and Supplemental Insurance– A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20 hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
