Role Description The Escrow Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Austin, TX, responsible for managing all aspects of the escrow and closing process for residential real estate transactions. Day-to-day responsibilities include opening and maintaining escrow files, reviewing purchase contracts and related documents, preparing settlement statements, and coordinating closing activities with buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders. The role involves verifying title commitments, ensuring all conditions are met, obtaining required signatures and authorizations, and disbursing funds in accordance with closing instructions and regulatory requirements. The Escrow Officer will also perform notarial acts, provide responsive and professional customer service throughout the transaction, and maintain accurate records and compliance with company policies and state regulations. Collaboration with internal team members to support continuous process improvement and deliver a high-quality client experience is expected.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in escrow operations and managing residential real estate transactions.
- Proficiency in handling closings, including preparing settlement statements and coordinating all parties to completion.
- Ability to perform notary duties in Texas; current Notary Public commission or eligibility to obtain one.
- Strong customer service skills with a client-focused approach and effective communication abilities.
- Knowledge of Texas real estate and title practices, regulations, and documentation requirements.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Comfort with title and escrow software systems and basic proficiency in standard office applications.
