Duties

• Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including deposits, withdrawals, debits, and credits, ensuring proper cash management and cashiering procedures.
• Process customer requests for account services such as opening new accounts, updating existing accounts, and closing accounts while adhering to bank policies.
• Assist customers with inquiries related to banking products and services, providing clear information and guidance to enhance their banking experience.
• Conduct financial sales activities by promoting relevant banking products such as loans, savings accounts, or credit cards; upsell additional services to meet customer needs.
• Manage customer relationships by maintaining detailed records of interactions and ensuring follow-up on unresolved issues or inquiries.
• Detect and prevent potential fraud by monitoring transactions for suspicious activity and following established fraud prevention protocols.
• Support loan origination and processing activities by collecting necessary documentation, verifying information, and coordinating with relevant departments.
• Use financial software efficiently for data entry, transaction processing, and record keeping; perform basic math calculations accurately using retail math skills or 10-key typing.
• Maintain compliance with banking regulations and internal policies through diligent record keeping and transaction documentation.
• Participate in regular audits of cash drawers and accounts to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues on daily operations and customer service initiatives.
• Check back daily work .

Requirements

• Proven experience in banking or retail cashiering with a strong understanding of cash handling procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and familiarity with debits & credits.
• Knowledge of financial sales techniques such as upselling banking products or cross-selling services.
• Familiarity with financial software applications used in banking environments.
• Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks.
• Strong relationship management skills to build trustful connections with customers.
• Attention to detail for accurate transaction processing and record keeping.
• Ability to detect suspicious activity related to fraud prevention measures.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
