This is a full time 40 hours per week. Schedule is typically Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm.

Job Summary

General Description: The Team Lead is responsible for continuity of services and supervises Community Supports Technicians (CSTs) within the Personal Emergency Response System (PERS). This role ensures the program carries out essential health, safety, and security functions through a centralized electronic monitoring system, coordinating appropriate verbal, in-person, or arranged responses. The Team Lead provides training and guidance to CSTs in delivering services in accordance with each Individual Plan of Service (IPOS), including routine and emergency support.

Responsibilities and Duties: Supervise, coach, and evaluate CST staff. Maintain adequate staffing, develop schedules, ensure program coverage, and approve time sheets. Lead CST collaboration with consumers, guardians, case managers, and providers to implement PERS interventions outlined in the IPOS. Represent the PERS team at person-centered planning meetings. Ensure staff are properly trained, oriented, and competent in agency policies and PERS procedures. Provide clinical and program consultation, including after hours, and review consumer documentation to ensure compliance with standards. Support staff development, address concerns, and maintain positive employee relations. Provide training on PERS equipment and monitoring systems. Facilitate clear and timely communication among staff and leadership. Participate in program planning, implementation, and evaluation. EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS

General Education

College: Bachelor's Degree Major: Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Criminal Justice, or comparable degree.

Courses: Social work, professional ethics.

Job Related Experience: Sufficient experience to perform the position at a satisfactory

level required. Minimum of two years of experience working with IDD population is required.

Prior Supervisory Experience Preferred.

Licenses, etc.: LLBSW or LBSW preferred but not required. Valid driver's license while

operating vehicle on agency business.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of the Mental Health Code, and the structure, guidelines, and

services of CMHCM. Must possess professional knowledge, consistent with license or

registration and demonstrate throughout employment practice equal to acceptable professional

standards.

Skills: Skill in advocating on behalf of consumers, families/guardians, and CMHCM with the

community at large. Interpersonal skills, leadership skills, diagnostic/assessment skills and crisis

intervention skills. Use of the telephone and computer skills. Oral and written communication

skills. Use of an automobile.

Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively and relate positively to colleagues and members of

other community agencies/programs. Ability to establish relationships and deal effectively with a

wide range of people, disciplines and agencies in the community. Ability to communicate both

verbally and in writing. Ability to exercise considerable independent and mature judgment.

Ability to demonstrate self-confidence, patience, assertiveness and flexibility in difficult

situations. Ability to organize and prioritize workloads. Ability to promote professional

development, maintain records, analyze problems, work independently and as part of a team.

Ability to manage stress. Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients, determine

therapeutic needs and develop treatment/intervention plans.

Physical Demands: Work is generally sedentary. Some local travel is required.

Work Environment: Work is performed in a typical office setting and other community settings

and may involve dealing with people under very trying conditions.
