What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Technician position at Community Mental Health Authority?
Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Network and Support Manager shall; answer, evaluate, and prioritize incoming communication requests from customers experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies. Duties include; accurately recording incoming calls/contacts, logging problems, entering and maintaining the history and documenting related problems in the trouble ticket system, preliminary diagnosis of software and hardware problems, software and hardware repair, and deployment of software and hardware. Performs a variety of active directory, SQL, and network authentication and administrative functions. Shall install, configure, maintain, and repair desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and multi-function devices. Works with IT staff to carry out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Two year degree in Computer Science, Computer Electronics, or similar computer degree required. Education requirement may be waived for two-three years of computer technician job experience. Minimum of two years of experience installing hardware/software, troubleshooting and/or working in a helpdesk/call center environment supporting 100 devices is required. Excellent customer services skills. Strong troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Must be able to maintain positive, constructive, team-oriented attitude as well as sound judgment in all job responsibilities. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police Clearance check. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
