CMHA is looking to hire a part-time 2nd shift Respite Case Manager. This position will be located at 66 Clinic Dr. New Britain, CT 06501. Saturday-Sunday 3:30pm - 11:30pm.

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position starts at $20.00 per hour.

Compensation for each position is determined not only by years of relevant experience, education, and skills, but also by maintaining internal pay equity. CMHA also takes into consideration our benefits and paid time off package to provide a well-rounded and competitive approach to the applicant’s overall compensation.

Position Summary: The Respite Case Manager support clients toward the goal of eventual independent living and supervise client activity and participation in the program while ensuring client safety, comfort and satisfaction. Coordinates care with the client throughout the CMHA system of services.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a mental health related field preferred or equivalent experience

Credentials And Licenses

  • Must have valid Connecticut driver’s license, a reliable vehicle Will become certified in MANDT, First Aid, and CPR.
  • Participate in trainings on an annual basis, as assigned.

Experience

  • Successful experience working in Case Management or related field with a solid understanding of Mental Health and co-occurring conditions, preferably a minimum of one year.
  • Beginner to intermediate experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in or the ability and willingness to learn how to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system including: appointment scheduling, authorization tracking, assessments, treatment plans, progress notes and discharge summaries.

  • Ability to assess and formulate case management needs as expressed by the client and document in treatment plans.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with individuals with mental health and co-occurring disorders as well as with their families, caregivers and natural supports.
  • Capability to problem solve and use good judgement, work independently and as a team member.
  • Awareness/sensitivity to those we serve encourages and promotes a positive, productive and collegial environment, including culture, language, gender, sexual orientation, gender preference, physical handicap and spirituality.
  • Capacity to understand and incorporate recovery-based treatment, language, and interventions into documentation and daily operations.
  • Ability to teach, develop, achieve and motivate clients to maximum/desired behavior and/or goals.
  • Interpersonal ability to establish positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work a flexible schedule when needed.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Design, deliver, and ensure highly individualized services and support. Ability to work in fast-paced environment, utilizing excellent time management skills, flexibility regarding scheduling, and the ability to balance a number of priorities based on workload in the completion of job responsibilities. Maintain client confidentiality in accordance to CMHA policy and state and federal regulations.
