What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Officer - Per Diem position at Community Memorial Hospital?
Security:
- Carry out safety and security procedures to maintain safe work environment for all staff.
- Conduct foot patrols of all buildings/parking lots throughout the shift and document these activities.
- Respond to all emergency situations on the hospital campus.
- Maintain a calm, professional, problem-solving demeanor at all times and deploy de-escalation techniques as needed.
- Maintain NYS Security Guard certification and complete de-escalation training.
- Utilize incident tracking systems to report any incidents. Request work orders through your supervisor.
- Enforce parking compliance based on current hospital policy and procedure.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Security and Safety as the program develops.
Safety:
- Participate and play an active role in all drills related to Hazmat, codes, fire, active shooter, lock down, etc.
- Complete Incident Command System Training as assigned through Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 courses.
Experience
Required- Security Guard Card Required including 8- and 16-hour courses
