What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - Emergency Room PD position at Community Memorial Hospital?
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for triage incoming patients bases on severity of injury or illness.
- Planning, evaluating, problem solving, creating and implementing plan of care directed by Emergency department provider.
- Administration of prescribed medications in accordance with policies and procedures of Community Memorial Hospital.
- Demonstrates accurate assessment skills and proper documentation in electronic medical record.
- Demonstrate the use of effective oral, written and nonverbal communications skills to ensure proper care is provided.
- To provide appropriate education to patients and families.
- To serve as patient/family advocate.
- To cooperate and collaborate with all members of the health care team.
- Provide professional and knowledge of role, as well as rules and regulations that govern nursing practice.
- To apply ethical principles in caring for the patient and serving the family.
- To carry out duties and responsibilities per legal requirement under their Scope of Practice.
- Actively lead a culture of safe care per the Vision and Values of Community Memorial Hospital
- Promotes a healthy interpersonal working relationship, free of judgement and creates a safe environment of care for patients, visitors and co-works. Treating all parties with dignity and respect.
- All other duties and responsibilities as designated by the Director of Emergency Nursing.
Job Requirements:
- Associate degree, bachelor's degrees from an approved NYS accredited nursing program
- Current licensure by NYS
- Certification in BLS, PALS, ACLS
- Coronary Care, TNCC and ENPC preferred

Pay: $50.70 - $59.39 per hour
