Job Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of office staff in both Community Physician Clinics (i.e. Wymore and Marysville). Prepares work schedules and expedites work flow. Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the office/clinic. Keeps the physician(s) informed of both progress and potential problems. Responsible for the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery. Monitors patient registration and scheduling, up front collections and patient flow.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for interviewing, hiring and firing of staff for the office/clinic. Provide orientation to basic clinic policies and procedures and familiarize newly hired staff with clinic routines.
Lead Electronic Medical Record implementation and its processes.
Responsible for having appropriate credentialing of staff on file. File applications and re-validations for provider numbers with various sources for clinic providers as necessary.
Periodically visit the branch clinic to review policies as necessary.
Provides leadership and direction in accordance with organizational goals and objectives.
Provides for professional growth and development of patient care staff through identification of needs, sponsoring training programs, encouraging education (formal and continuing) efforts and evaluation of same.
Responsible for completion of regular performance evaluations for each staff member; conducts evaluations for new staff prior to completion of probationary period.
Counsels employees, develops staff and, as appropriate, utilizes the disciplinary process.
Responsible for safety and comfort of patients, and the health and safety of staff.
Advise the Maintenance Dept. of problems that arise in order to keep essential equipment in working condition as well as possible safety hazards at the sites.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Collaborates with ancillary support services to provide a safe, clean and secure environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Responsible for resolving patient complaints.
Develops, justifies and maintains a fiscal plan (budget) for the office/clinic. Monitors patient revenues, expenses and operating expenses (salaries and capital expense items) in conjunction with CFO.
Provides appropriate reports to Administrator.
Maintains a current awareness of third-party reimbursement regulations and contractual arrangements with HMOs and PPOs in conjunction with CMH.
Monitors utilization of equipment and supplies; orders supplies as needed.
Effectively maintains all required records for the office/clinic; demonstrates good organizational skills.
Plans and conducts staff meetings.
Works with the medical staff to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.
Participates in performance improvement, including utilization and promotion of familiarization with performance improvement standards and programs.
Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.
Open and distribute mail.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Professional Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Management preferred.
Minimum of three years management/supervisory experience preferably in a physician clinic or medical setting. Clinical experience preferred.
Ability to work with physicians in a collaborative manner.
Language Skills:
Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrates interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff development.
Additional languages preferred.
Skills:
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records. Basic computer knowledge.
Demonstrates leadership abilities.
