SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Medical Office Assistant I position is responsible for providing front office support to clinical operations. Works with a diverse patient population to ensure accuracy of patient intake, registration, payments, and scheduling. Routinely answers phone calls and provides assistance to inquiries. Must be detail oriented with good interpersonal and customer service skills. Works under the daily supervision of the Practice Site Manager and/or assigned staff. The individual in this role will be expected to work unconventional, irregular hours including evenings and weekends often staying past closing time due to patients having the ability to walk-in for an appointment up until closing time.
Located across from Park City Mall in iconic Lancaster County, the Penn State Health Lancaster Pediatric Outpatient Center serves the local Pediatric population of South Central Pennsylvania! The PSH Lancaster Pediatric Outpatient Center serves an estimated 100-150 patients/day and is seeking administrative staff to join the team.
The hired Medical Office Associate will be responsible for checking patients in and out of appointments, scheduling follow-up appointments, reviewing, and ensuring continuity in schedules. The MOA will also be responsible for processing new patients, making reminder phone calls, and collecting co-pays where applicable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
