Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Management Distribution Tech 1 is responsible for supply chain operations and logistics functions to include, receiving, distribution, product delivery and par/point of use replenishment and stocking. Distributes supplies and materials to proper departments in an efficient and effective manner. Reports variances to inventory control including damages, defects and missing items.
Incumbents hired into the level 1 have the opportunity to promote into the Tech 2 position once the necessary skills and abilities are demonstrated.
Accountabilities
1. Responsible for maintaining the supplies located in the supply and medication rooms throughout the hospital; includes receiving, stocking and distributing supplies.2. Reviews supplies and verifies accuracy of contents. Validates and/or stickers supply with appropriate patient charge labels. Reports damages/discrepancies/expiration to Buyer.3. Responsible for maintaining the supply carts located throughout the hospital; ensures the supply cart labels are accurate and clean, expiration dates are rotated; supplies are stocked FIFO; carts remain free of clutter.4. Responsible for checking assigned areas for expired or soon to expire supplies per established procedures.5. Inventories stock supply in nursing areas following pre-established pars. Generates pick-list, picks and packs appropriate supply6. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment: supply rooms, medication rooms and stockroom are clutter free; escalates abnormal changes in work environment.7. Follows standard supply chain scanning procedures; escalates supply abnormalities observed in hospital supply and medication rooms.8. Responsible for monitoring usage and changes in assigned departments and submitting request to add, delete or change par on supply cart items.9. Completes the daily Par changes for the department assigned; escalates any deviations or delays in the process.10. Responsible for completing daily Inventory Quality Assurance processes in assigned area: includes, but not limited to, cycle counts and zero on hand reporting.11. Performs miscellaneous job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience and Education: Minimum Required: High School Diploma/GED. Approximately six (6) months' previous experience as a stock clerk or related experience such as inventory, delivery and sorting.
Preferred: Computer entry skills for maintaining inventory records.
Incumbents in this position prior to September 16, 2019 are grandfathered with their existing education and experience qualifications.
