Job Overview
The Community Intervention Center serves adults experiencing homelessness or living with a mental illness or a co-occurring mental illness and substance use disorder is recruiting for a full time Support Staff.
This is an excellent position for individuals interested in working with underserved client populations and who want to make a difference in the lives of those we serve. Responsibilities include basic needs assessment and referrals to shelter services, primary and behavioral health care, and employment programs. Support Staff may also help program participants with applications for government entitlement programs. Support Staff are responsible for picking up donations, client transportation to appointments, and light maintenance and housekeeping at the CIC. Support Staff works alongside other program staff to maintain a safe and peaceful environment in the program at all times.
Successful applicants will have prior experience in homeless services or behavioral or substance abuse treatment programs, be familiar with harm reduction and motivational interviewing, and be comfortable with electronic record keeping.

Duties
- Applicants must be able to work a 37.5 hours a week schedule between the hours of 8am-6pm, Monday through Friday.
- Support Staff works with other program staff to complete tasks required for Day Room, Safe Haven and Permanent Supportive Housing Programs.
- Providing transportation for client appointments and donation pick ups.
- Assisting with Day Room operations including but not limited to light building housekeeping and maintenance, meal service, and direct client assistance.
Skills
- Experience working in homeless services, behavioral health, or substance abuse treatment.
- Drivers License required
