We’re seeking a Registered Manager to lead our Andover Children’s Home in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on young lives while shaping a high-performing, compassionate team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Children’s Home, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, taking responsibility for all safeguarding referrals and procedures.
- Inspire and supervise a dedicated team, ensuring high standards of care and professional development.
- Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and external agencies to deliver holistic, therapeutic support.
- Manage budgets, staffing rosters, and care plans with precision and empathy.
- Maintain strong relationships with families, commissioners, and the wider community.
- Essential:
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare within the last 5 years
- At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to child protection
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Desirable:
- Has completed, or is studying/committed to completing Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Previous experience as a Designated Safeguarding Officer
- Experience writing reports and attending reviews
