What are the responsibilities and job description for the CCMR Coordinator position at Community Independent School District?
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Leads and manages the district’s College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) programs and strategies for grades K-12. Provides professional development to staff members regarding CCMR and supports district personnel in all areas of PEIMS reporting of CCMR indicators. Communicates CCMR program information to district staff and community stakeholders. Plan and facilitate district wide events and activities to increase awareness of the importance of CCMR.
Provide training for staff, students and families related to course planning, G/T, dual credit, virtual academy and college readiness. Serve as the liaison between central office and campus staff in the development and implementation of advanced academic programs and services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Certification Requirements
Bachelors Degree
Valid Texas teaching certificate
Masters Degree (Preferred), School Counseling Experience (preferred)

Ability to adjust and modify program implementation to best serve students, evidenced in positive social, emotional, academic, and career development.
Ability to clearly articulate and discuss the program action plans with the district and school administrators, teacher, and parents
Knowledge of high school graduation plans and college and career readiness and awareness programs
Knowledge of career assessment tools.
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Coordinate and facilitate presentations, student workshops, parent meetings, and college and career awareness activities.
- Host and facilitate workshops focused on college and career readiness topics.
- Assist in coordinating various college events, workshops, field trips and tours for k-12 students.
- Work with members of the campus administration teams, counseling teams, the CTE Dean/Coordinator and Collin Counselor, to develop district-wide processes for standards relating to CCMR
- Maintain a data dashboard to monitor College and Career Readiness status of all high school students.
- Coordinate programs that guide students through academic and career exploration activities promoting high school and post-secondary readiness K-12 grade
- Develop student and family understanding of college and career options as well as pathways to high school and post-secondary success.
- Provide dual credit information to parents and students, assist with registration process.
- Provide professional development for online curriculum.
- Serve as the Edmentum (Online curriculum) district lead
- Align Edmentum curriculum with the district curriculum for course at secondary level.
- Facilitate various industry tours/visits for elementary, middle , and high school students.
- Collaborates with school administrators, staff, local agencies, governmental bodies, and businesses to foster coordination of services and integration with other local educational entities.
- Attend meetings, conferences and seminars regarding career trends, college entrance and financial aid.
- Promote the district-wide Post-secondary readiness initiative including developing, promoting, and monitoring dual credit, advanced classes, and industry certifications
- Coordinate all early college programs: Associate Programs, Pride Prep, PTECH
- Provide statistical information necessary for required reports and grants including PEIMS reports, etc.
- Implement motivational concepts to encourage and motivate students
- Uphold ethical and professional standards as set forth.
- Compile, maintain and submit monthly logs/reports, data summaries, and evaluate program efficiency.
- Communicate the availability of scholarship and assistance opportunities to all students.
- Develop and present an annual summary of scholarship application success detailing local, state, foundation, and university awards.
- Conduct advanced academic seminars for Middle School students and parents
- Conduct training for all K-12 counselors on college and career readiness and awareness curriculum.
- Coordinate and collaborate to develop a College and Career Readiness district handbook.
- Participate in professional development activities to maintain current knowledge of personnel rules, regulations, and practices.
- Maintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearance.
- Collaborate to develop a competitive grant process guidebook for the district.
- Direct the coordination, planning, and implementation of competitive grants for the Advanced Acdemic Department.
- Write and submit grant proposals to appropriate funding sources and requested supporting data.
- Assure all grant applications are aligned with the District’s Mission and appropriate school improvement plans.
- Assure all required evaluation components are met.
- Search for state, federal or private funding.
