Supervision of Direct Reports: (3) Grants Manager, Donor Relations Manager, Communication Manager
Opportunity: To develop a recently expanded development department, create a high-performing development team, and increase revenue for Monterey County’s premiere behavioral health services organization.
Job Summary: Seeking full time professional to collaborate with the Chief Executive Officer and lead the Development team in planning and executing an effective, integrated fundraising and communications program for Community Human Services that includes annual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, government and foundation grants, special events, planned giving, and community engagement.
Donor relations responsibilities include building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with current and prospective donors, overseeing stewardship activities that ensure consistent communication, appreciation and recognition of donors, and creating opportunities for donors to increase their engagement.
Communications responsibilities include overseeing all content and design for marketing including email, social media, brochures/fliers, event-related materials, annual reports, website, direct mail, and advertising.
Grants management responsibilities include researching and identifying new funding opportunities, overseeing the successful submission of well-written grant proposals and the timely submission of grant evaluations/reports.
Community engagement responsibilities include serving as ambassador for the agency at community events and in meetings with donors and funders, giving presentations and speaking publicly on behalf of the agency, cultivating partnerships with businesses, civic groups, and other nonprofits and planning and executing a broad community outreach plan.
Data management responsibilities include ensuring complete and accurate day-to-day data entry in Bloomerang, and designing and pulling reports for management and the board to track fundraising progress, donor engagement, and other key metrics.
Qualifications: Broad knowledge of nonprofit fund development, marketing and communications.  Demonstrated success setting and achieving revenue goals.  Excellent written and verbal communications skills.  Good eye for creative content and brand fidelity. Outstanding leadership qualities. Effective employee supervision and team leadership. Strategic thinking and planning skills.  Analytical problem-solving abilities.  Minimum 5 years of experience in development field and 2 years in supervisory/management role.
Salary Range: $112,268 - $136,462/year depending on experience. Additional 5% if bilingual (Spanish).

·      100% of employee premium for medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance and 50% of dependent premium for medical, dental and vision. 
·      12 paid sick days/year
·      15 paid holidays/year
·      Employees must participate in 403(b) at a minimum of 2.5% in lieu of Social Security as a condition of employment. CHS contributes 5%.

Salary : $112,268 - $136,462
