We believe quality, affordable housing is the foundation for prosperity, personal fulfillment, and success.WHAT WILL I BE DOING?CHI is looking for a full-time Evening Manager for our Wading River location. You will be responsible for all aspects of nighttime management for assigned shelters. You will maintain consistent communication with Suffolk County Department of Social Services Emergency Services. Also, you will ensure that quality services are provided effectively and in accordance with guidelines established by CHI, OTDA, Suffolk County Department of Social Services, and other funding sources as appropriate. The Evening Manager works as part of an interdisciplinary team. The Evening Manager supervises the overall running of the assigned sites in the evening as directed by the Program Managers. This is accomplished by performing the following functions:Provide crisis intervention as appropriate for all assigned sites.On call manager of multiple assigned sites.Maintain communication with management staff of assigned sites.Supervise Residential Support Specialist Supervisor of assigned site.Conduct 1 to 1 meetings with members of your team and update the performance goals, accomplishments, notes, and feedback in Paycom on a regular basis (weekly/bi-weekly).Ensure that the program is providing quality services and is compliant with program requirements.Consistently act as a liaison with Suffolk County Department of Social Services Emergency Services and contracted security agencies. Prevent loss of income to CHI as a result of vacancy loss and lost shelter payments, property, etc. Adheres to proper use of company resources (cell phones, office supplies, internet, etc.).Maintain appropriateness and act as a model at all times.Complete and maintain appropriate documentation.Contribute to interdisciplinary team for all assigned sites.Travel to assigned shelters as needed.ANYTHING ELSE?Salary: $66,300 annually. Extensive experience in a social service management capacity may be considered.Experience: 4 years’ experience providing management services.Certificates or Licenses: Valid driver’s license.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English required. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.Computer Skills: Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, and internet usage.Physical Performance: Ability to tour properties, walk distances, climb stairs, etc.Reasoning Ability: Ability to prioritize, make appropriate decisions and judgment calls.Other Skills: Ability to work independently or as part of a team, be highly organized, assume responsibility, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask, be flexible, and maintain a high level of attention to details. Must be even-tempered, have good negotiation skills, and the ability to meet unexpected deadlines.
