What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Room Physician position at COMMUNITY HOSPITAL - MCCOOK?
The Emergency Department provider must be able to manage ED patients, as well as manage a moderately busy ED while on duty. Must have technical skills such as suturing, digital blocks, foreign body removal, I & D and splinting. Must be knowledgeable in the broad field of Emergency Medicine.
Key functions:
- Functions as a provider in the Emergency Room for the McCook community and surrounding area within the scope of the state license.
- Develops a strong working relationship with providers at McCook Clinic and surrounding communities, hospital staff, and EMS.
- Participatory in Community Hospital strategic and operational functions.
- Promotes positive public relations with the community.
- Current Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant licensure in the State of Nebraska required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) validation required
- Current ATLS
- PALS, NRP, ACLS highly encouraged
