Community Hospital Fairfax is seeking a reliable and motivated Radiology Technologist (PRN) to join our imaging team. This position is ideal for new graduates looking to build hospital experience as well as experienced technologists seeking flexible PRN hours. CT experience is preferred but not required—candidates must be willing to train in CT.
Position Summary
The Radiology Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures while providing high-quality, compassionate patient care. This role supports a collaborative radiology department in a community hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols
- Ensure patient safety, proper positioning, and radiation protection
- Deliver excellent patient-centered care to individuals of all ages
- Maintain imaging equipment and report any issues promptly
- Accurately document procedures in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in CT cross-training as applicable
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT (R) certification required (registry-eligible candidates considered)
- Active state license or eligibility
- CT experience preferred but not required
- Willingness to train and grow into CT imaging
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability for PRN shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed
