Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Field Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities and home health environments. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine health needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including performing procedures such as spinal taps, dialysis, and gastric lavage.
- Provide wound care and assist with daily living activities for patients in assisted living environments.
- Perform phlebotomy to collect blood samples for laboratory testing.
- Monitor vital signs and report any significant changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of patient records.
- Implement airway management techniques when necessary to ensure patient safety.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and improve health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress notes.
Skills
- Proficiency in performing spinal taps, dialysis, phlebotomy, and gastric lavage procedures.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and familiarity with ICD-10 coding for effective documentation.
- Experience in assisted living or home health settings is preferred.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as needed.
- Competence in airway management techniques to handle emergencies effectively.
- Knowledge of sonography is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patients' needs efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
