Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse for our Home Health division covering the Maryville, MO area.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to patient-centered care. The Registered Nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive health services to patients, particularly seniors requiring medical-surgical care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including evaluating vital signs and overall health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Healthcare Strategies software to ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management, including family planning and senior care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards in the home environment.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Proven experience in home health nursing or a similar setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing practices and standards of care.
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and vital signs monitoring.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a home setting.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Compassionate approach towards patient care with a focus on enhancing quality of life.
Pay is based on per visit. Range is from $38.00 - $90.00 depending on visit type.
