- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
- Help with meal preparation and feeding to meet dietary needs and preferences
- Utilize proper patient transfer methods and manual handling techniques, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and assist with updating individual care plans
Skills
- Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and recognize signs of distress or deterioration
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to assist with transportation needs for clients
