Position Summary
The Temporary Administrative Support Specialist provides short-term clerical, administrative, and operational support during a 90-day assignment. This temporary, part-time role may be assigned to Human Resources, Career Services, or another department based on organizational needs.
This is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone who is dependable, organized, eager to learn, and interested in gaining hands-on experience in a professional office environment. The position may support document collection, records organization, data entry, outbound follow-up, compliance-related processes, candidate, employer and/or Alumni communication, and other routine administrative functions as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide general clerical and administrative support to the assigned department, which may include Human Resources, Career Services, or another operational area.
- Assist with data entry, scanning, filing, copying, and document organization.
- Help prepare, assemble, and distribute forms, packets, letters, and other materials.
- Support routine HR administrative processes such as document collection, onboarding paperwork assistance, and records organization.
- Conduct outbound communications as assigned in support of employment verification, employee or candidate follow-up, and completion of required documentation.
- Contact employees, candidates, prior employers, educational institutions, agencies, alumni or other appropriate parties to obtain, verify, or follow up on required information and records.
- Assist with gathering, tracking, and organizing records needed for accreditation, regulatory, personnel, and other compliance-related requirements.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
- Assist with special projects and short-term administrative assignments.
- Support general office administrative functions as needed.
- Monitor and help organize office supplies, materials, or basic inventory requests.
- Provide courteous and professional service to employees, students, candidates, and visitors.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and records.
- Perform other related clerical and administrative duties as assigned based on business need.

Additional Position Information
Department assignment, daily priorities, and direct supervision may vary based on business need. The employee will be assigned to the appropriate Department Director or designated supervisor during the assignment period.
This is a temporary part-time position for up to 90 days. Employment in this role will not exceed 28 hours per week unless otherwise approved in advance. Continued employment beyond the temporary assignment period is not guaranteed. Duties may shift during the assignment based on workflow demands and business needs.
