What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Delivery Driver position at Community Health Services?
Community Health Services is seeking a reliable and personable Pharmacy Courier to join our team! This role is responsible for delivering medications to patients' homes safely, accurately, and on time using a CHS vehicle. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, critical thinking, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
What You’ll Do:
✅ Deliver prescriptions to patients Monday through Friday- No Weekends
✅ Ensure proper handling of temperature-sensitive medications
✅ Communicate clearly with patients and CHS staff
✅ Keep the delivery vehicle clean, fueled, and organized
✅ Follow organized delivery routes and obtain signatures when distributing medications
✅ Follow all safety, HIPAA, and regulatory guidelines
What We’re Looking For:
✅ High school diploma or GED
✅ Clean driving record & valid auto insurance
✅ Strong knowledge of local roads and ability to follow delivery route
✅ Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, walking)
✅ Pharmacy or delivery experience (preferred)
✅ Comfortable with technology (smartphone, basic software)
✅ CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within a year)
✅ Reliable, professional, and compassionate
