to health care for everyone. Description - Pay Rate: \$19.75/hour The
Medical Assistant Trainee is part of a CHP sanctioned learning program
to become a Certified Medical Assistant. Under the direction of the CMA
Preceptor, a trainee meets all the obligations of the learning program
within a specified training period, including attendance, timely on-line
learning, as well as in-office training. Training includes developing
the skills necessary to collaborate with and assist patients, medical
assistants, physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and
licensed practical nurses in executing CHP\'s mission and vision. The
desired candidate has a pleasant and welcoming personality and is
willing to travel to CHP\'s various locations in Berkshire County, if
needed. The Medical Assistant Training contributes to a work environment
that is caring, collaborative, and innovative. This person will support
CHP\'s mission, vision, and values and will adhere to compliance
protocols as well as CHP\'s policies and procedures. Position
Requirements Grant Overview: This is a grant-funded position, and the
scheduling includes lab, clinical site rotations and coursework. Work
hours are 8:00am-4:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break. The Medical
Assistant Trainee will be a part of a cohort of students and will be
provided with supplies and materials for coursework. Additionally, the
cost of the coursework will be paid for by the grant. The Trainee must
be employed with CHP for two years post course work, for a total of two
years and six months. In the event the Medical Assistant Trainee departs
CHP prior to the above required commitment the candidate will be held
responsible for all expenses associated with the training program such
as salary, coursework, materials, and supplies. 1st 6m - \$19.75/hr 2nd
6m - \$21.00/hr following completion of coursework \$22.50/hr upon
Certification In Conjunction With Online Education And Onsite Mentoring
Medical Assistant Trainee Essential Duties and Responsibilities will
include: - Welcome and escort patients to exam room; prepare patient for
visit; accurately obtain and record patient\'s vital signs; perform
patient intake to assist provider in directing patient care per written
protocol; assist providers with exams, diagnostic or therapeutic
procedures, as requested; direct patient following the visit. - May
perform EKGs on selected patients; prepare laboratory requests and
ensure accurate labels and records on all specimens; deliver specimens
to designated area; retrieve lab results and x-ray reports; clean and
