Seeking a Limited License Dentist with Dental Lab experience to manage the daily operations, personnel, and quality control for our in-house dental lab. Following the clinical direction of the treating Dentists, organize the work of the laboratory to optimize productivity and fabricate quality prosthetic products to provide the best fit, functionality, and aesthetically pleasing dentures for our patients. Laboratory Technicians partner with the dental team to help patients get the care they need and to fulfill our mission.
Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities
Seeking a Limited License Dentist with Dental Lab experience to manage the daily operations, personnel, and quality control for our in-house dental lab. Following the clinical direction of the treating Dentists, organize the work of the laboratory to optimize productivity and fabricate quality prosthetic products to provide the best fit, functionality, and aesthetically pleasing dentures for our patients. Laboratory Technicians partner with the dental team to help patients get the care they need and to fulfill our mission.
Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team of dental lab technicians, ensuring they follow lab procedures and maintain high-quality standards in their work.
- Oversee the quality of dental prosthetics and appliances produced, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
- Coordinate daily operations of the lab, including workflow management, inventory control, and procurement of materials and supplies.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with dental professionals and manage staff effectively.
- Ensure that all lab processes adhere to health and safety regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Provide training and support to lab staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to meet specific patient needs and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Ability to address operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of dental laboratory procedures and technologies.
- Optimizes laboratory production by organizing and prioritizing daily work.
- Stay informed about latest developments in dental technology and incorporate them into lab processes.
- Partners with the treating Dentists to ensure dentures exceed patient expectations; provides chairside support (where permissible and in accordance with applicable laws) when needed to address patient needs.
- Supports Laboratory pilot initiatives.
- Performs general equipment maintenance and reports and follows-up on equipment malfunctions or necessary repairs with the Director of Dental Operations.
- Maintains a neat and orderly laboratory.
- Understanding that patient care is a team effort that involves clinical and non-clinical staff interacting with patients
- Demonstrate understanding and commitment of the health center mission
- Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the established CHC Values and Standards
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- National Board Certification in dental laboratory technology a plus.
- Min. 2-3 yrs. Dental Lab Technician experience.
- Min 1 yr. Supervisory/Managerial experience.
- Massachusetts Limited License Dentist, a plus
- Demonstrated leadership skills required.
- Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
