What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Program Advanced Master's Level Internship position at Community Health Connections?
The Behavioral Health Department Masters Level Intern provides counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and/or case management services in an integrated primary care setting located in a community health center. Works collaboratively with other behavioral health and medical providers and trainees engaged in related therapeutic/patient care activities. The master's Level Intern cares for the needs of the specific patient population and provides appropriate direct patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of specific conditions. Interns receive individual and group supervision as well as scheduled didactics.
The Day Treatment Intern will be specifically completing the following:
- Running up to 2-3 groups a day
- Completing individual and family therapy for assigned patients
- Collateral and discharge planning that meet insurance regulations
- Clinical documentation that must be completed the same day
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently participating in Master's degree program in mental health counseling, clinical/counseling psychology or clinical social work.
