Community Health Centers of South Central Texas, Inc. (CHCSCT), a FQHC, is currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) who will provide essential clinical support while traveling between our Gonzales, Luling, & Lockhart locations. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
As a Medical Assistant with us, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive top-notch healthcare in a friendly and comfortable environment. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assist healthcare professionals with women's health examinations and procedures,
- Record patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately,
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by providers,
- Provide patient education,
- Perform phlebotomy and assist with specimen collections,
- Perform administrative tasks, including managing patient records, and
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring exam rooms are stocked and prepared.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a certified Medical Assistant program,
- Strong interpersonal skills and a caring attitude towards patients,
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills,
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities,
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality,
- Certified or completed course in phlebotomy, required,
- Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
