What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at Community Health Centers of Burlington?
The Payroll Specialist primarily responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of the company's payroll, provides timely and accurate financial information, participates in daily payroll processing tasks. Works closely with employees and the third-party software vendor to resolve all payroll related issues.
This role is also responsible for purchasing, ordering supplies, entering POs, and entering invoices.
Applicants must be in Vermont. This position is onsite!
Education & Experience:
- Experience with ADP highly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED, with 3 years' experience in payroll processing preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of payroll principles and procedures
- Exceptionally strong ability to deal sensitively with confidential material and maintain absolute confidentiality.
- Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge of computer-based payroll systems and financial programs, ADP preferred.
- Ability to work independently, with initiative, and prioritize work assignments and manage time.
- Ability to work as a team member in a cooperative, problem-solving manner.
- Ability to analyze, evaluate and reconcile accounting data.
- Analytical and problem-solving attitude.
