Responsibilities
- Work within a care team while providing direct counseling services to the patient
- Assess patients for common mental health disorders using evidence-based tools
- Provide brief behavioral interventions using evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, problem-solving treatment, motivational interviewing, or other treatments as appropriate
- Organize patient outreach to facilitate follow-up care or services
- LPCC, LPCC-S, LISW or LISW-S
- Comprehensive knowledge of area resources
- Ability to effectively engage patients in a therapeutic relationship
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to work with patients by telephone and virtual visits, as well as in person
