Job Description: The Information technologies (IT) Support Specialist is directly responsible for providing desk side support to all users within the organization. This is accomplished by working in partnership with other IT staff and department heads as required.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Performs end-user desktop support for software, hardware and various infrastructure related issues
- Install and configures desktop computer system hardware and software (including operating system and applications software)
- Install and configures printers and various network-connected equipment
- Daily management of internal support requests
- Tests and distributes security patches to clients; remediate any threats to the desktop environment (i.e. virus, spyware, malware, etc.)
- Participates in rollouts of new software/hardware
- Participates in maintaining, testing and update PC Images
- Escalate issues as needed to co-workers and/or the appropriate staff member
- Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
- Able to make changes to and manage Active Directory
- Knowledge of an electronic medical record system; when applicable
- Skill in operating personal computer utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, databases, reports, and e-mail.
- Ability to see and use computer efficiently to read computer reports and correspondence
- Coordinates and conducts employee training as needed as well as in-service trainings
- Skill in public and inter-agency relations
- Skill in accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, patient financial medical information and confidential company files
- Ability to travel distances for multiple days; when deemed necessary
- Maximizes information systems materials and supplies
- Ability to read, write legibly and calculate mathematical figures
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
- Ability to maintain a driver’s license, and perform courier duties; as needed

- Knowledge and application of TCP/IP protocols.
- Knowledge and understanding of IPv4 addressing
- CAT 5e/6 cable patching, pulling, termination and testing.
- Knowledge and experience in server administration.
- Knowledge and experience in managing hybrid Azure Active Directory environment and group policy management.
- Knowledge and experience in desktop administration and support.
- Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows client operating systems (7 and 10).
- Microsoft Office Suite 2007 to 2019.
- Desktop Authority, PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory.
- Install and troubleshoot end user peripherals such scanners, printers and various USB devices.
- Responsible for ensuring network security and data integrity
- Primary contact for Pharmacy IT related issues with the Rx30 application.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS, and three to five years experience in systems/network environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with applications to a medical or social service delivery system preferred.
