Description

Community Health Alliance is looking for a Information Technology Support Specialist.  Join our talented team of Information Technology that focus on serving the community and helping those in need by creating healthy outcomes for patients of every income. 

We operate six convenient locations throughout Reno and Sparks, providing comprehensive, top-quality medical services, dental and pediatric care, behavioral health, low-cost pharmacies, nourishing food pantries, and more. 


Job Description: The Information technologies (IT) Support Specialist is directly responsible for providing desk side support to all users within the organization. This is accomplished by working in partnership with other IT staff and department heads as required.

Qualifications


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Performs end-user desktop support for software, hardware and various infrastructure related issues
  2. Install and configures desktop computer system hardware and software (including operating system and applications software)
  3. Install and configures printers and various network-connected equipment
  4. Daily management of internal support requests
  5. Tests and distributes security patches to clients; remediate any threats to the desktop environment (i.e. virus, spyware, malware, etc.)
  6. Participates in rollouts of new software/hardware
  7. Participates in maintaining, testing and update PC Images
  8. Escalate issues as needed to co-workers and/or the appropriate staff member
  9. Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
  10. Able to make changes to and manage Active Directory
  11. Knowledge of an electronic medical record system; when applicable
  12. Skill in operating personal computer utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, databases, reports, and e-mail.
  13. Ability to see and use computer efficiently to read computer reports and correspondence
  14. Coordinates and conducts employee training as needed as well as in-service trainings
  15. Skill in public and inter-agency relations
  16. Skill in accuracy and attention to detail
  17. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information, patient financial medical information and confidential company files
  18. Ability to travel distances for multiple days; when deemed necessary
  19. Maximizes information systems materials and supplies
  20. Ability to read, write legibly and calculate mathematical figures
  21. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
  22. Ability to maintain a driver’s license, and perform courier duties; as needed
  23. Ability to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions
  24. Ability to work and interact effectively and positively with other staff members to build and to enhance teamwork in the clinics and overall CHA’s organization
  25. Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner
  26. Ability to understand and respond appropriately, effectively and sensitively to special population groups as defined by race, ethnicity, language, age, sex, etc.
  27. Ability to hear and speak well enough to converse over telephone
  28. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis
  29. Reasonable accommodation will be made for physical limitations on an individual basis
  30. Knowledge and application of TCP/IP protocols.
  31. Knowledge and understanding of IPv4 addressing
  32. CAT 5e/6 cable patching, pulling, termination and testing.
  33. Knowledge and experience in server administration.
  34. Knowledge and experience in managing hybrid Azure Active Directory environment and group policy management.
  35. Knowledge and experience in desktop administration and support.
    1. Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows client operating systems (7 and 10).
    2. Microsoft Office Suite 2007 to 2019.
    3. Desktop Authority, PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory.
    4. Install and troubleshoot end user peripherals such scanners, printers and various USB devices.
  36. Responsible for ensuring network security and data integrity
  37. Primary contact for Pharmacy IT related issues with the Rx30 application.

 

 

Education and Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS, and three to five years experience in systems/network environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience with applications to a medical or social service delivery system preferred.
