Objective: Deposit Operations Clerk will be responsible for the day-to-day servicing of customer accounts. This position will process all deposit related items that are handled by the operations Department and back up loan items. This position will be responsible for answering customer calls to resolve issues or answer any questions. This position will work closely with other Operation Clerks/Specialist/Supervisor/Operations Manager to ensure that dual control and appropriate backups are in place.
Classification: This position is a Full-Time Non-Exempt position that reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Location: Kokomo –Main Branch Downtown

- Perform all maintenance related to deposit account holders and to all deposit accounts.
- Process unposted/exception items, NSF accounts, return checks, and chargeback items.
- Process verification of deposits, reclamations, research requests, and stop payment items.
- Answer/Assist retail staff with handling deposit customer related questions/issues.
- Assist with Call Center duties and responsibilities.
- Perform deposit document scanning.
- Handle items related to self-storage boxes.
- Draft SOPs on Deposit Operational tasks.
- Assist in research and project completion.
- Back up and assist the Digital Banking Department.
- Review miscellaneous reports.
- Other miscellaneous duties/tasks assigned as needed.

Qualifications:
- One to two years of Banking Experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and attentiveness in dealing with both customers
- and employees.
- Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well with others and make recommendations for changes
- Ability to understand and work within policy and regulatory guidelines
- Confidentiality is a vital part of this position.
- Bookkeeping skills with major emphasis on Balancing.
- Retail Banking Experience Preferred.
