Perform the role of Relationship Manager for Government customers across the assigned territory. Responsible for achieving individual growth and profit objectives and managing a customer base.
Duties include, but are not limited to, achieving both growth objectives and calling goals for Government banking clients, developing and serving the Western New York market, managing and growing a customer base. Create opportunities to sell a full suite of treasury management products and services including, but not limited to, web-based information reporting systems, ACH origination, account reconciliation services, cash concentration and sweep services, Lock Box services, Remote Deposit Capture, Tax Collection services and fraud preventative tools.

Essential Responsibilities
- Market specialized financial services to state, county and local Government bodies, school districts, towns, utilities and other special districts and other public and quasi-public entities. Provide Governmentsales leadership and mentorship, assistance and advice to branches across the Bank's footprint in order to promote a Government sales environment within the branches. Actively manage portfolio of Government relationships. Aim toward business retention and cross-selling of existing customers. Aim toward optimizing overall profitability of the portfolio.
- Market specialized treasury management services to government customers. Provide treasury management sales leadership, assistance and advice to area branches in order to promote a treasury management sales environment within the area branches, in conjunction with Treasury Management Officers.
- Achieve growth, profit and market share objectives. Lead sales process by attending sales calls, identifying appropriate conferences, structuring proposals and sales training. Proactively call on existing and prospective customers to generate fee income, product depth, and loan (where appropriate) and deposit growth. Be active in the community to develop market presence. Key measurements will be growth in group's deposit portfolio, deposits booked, and fee income.
- Credit Policy should be understood and exceptions to policy should be noted and mitigated.
- Work constructively with other members of the Government Banking team to provide exceptional customer service. A key measure will be customer retention and satisfaction.
- Provide mentorship to the Government Administrator(s) and Government Associate(s).
- Lead the team by providing direction in proposed pricing, request for proposal origination, customer inquiries and marketing strategies.
- Understand the Bank's business model, strategy and plans. Develop broader knowledge base of Government Banking, Treasury Management and other Community Bank products and services, including financing strategies, documentation, structuring and regulato
