What are the responsibilities and job description for the Investment & Trading Specialist position at Community Financial Services Group?
Community Financial Services Group, a growing VT-based trust and investment company that provides local personal investment and financial planning services to our clients, is currently recruiting for an Investment and Trading Specialist to join our Investment Department in our Newport, Vermont office. The primary duties will be to:
· Execute equity, fixed income, and other investment transactions
· Assist in the implementation and maintenance of portfolio modeling programs
· Monitor and review trade activity and settlement processes
· Support portfolio management and investment committee activities
· Maintain investment objective documentation and account records
· Assist with annual account review processes and reporting
· Prepare investment performance and review spreadsheets
· Assist with fixed income trading and maturity tracking
· Perform monthly tasks, and prepare reports, meeting materials and committee minutes
· Collaborate with Wealth Advisors and other team members to provide excellent client service
· Other duties as assigned
Attributes of a Strong Candidate:
· High degree of confidentiality, organizational skills and attention to detail
· Associate’s degree or higher in Finance, Business, Accounting or other related field
· Proficiency using Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, and Excel (skill assessment will be administered)
· Excellent math, verbal and written communication capabilities
· Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
· Prefer prior investment or banking experience
