Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe patient conditions, and report changes promptly to nursing staff.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments, including engaging in therapeutic activities.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during patient interactions.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy preparation, and basic life support (BLS) when required.
- Document patient care accurately in medical records while respecting HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced SNF environment
- Prior experience preferred working in long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), or assisted living environments.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic patient care procedures.
- Experience with Point Click Care is highly preferred.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist with patient mobility using lifts like the Hoyer lift.
- Commitment to maintaining patient safety through aseptic techniques and infection prevention measures.
We are committed to maintaining manageable assignments to support quality care:
- AM Shift: 1 CNA : 7– 9 residents
- PM Shift: 1 CNA : 9–11 residents
- NOC Shift: 1 CNA : 10–12 residents
Schedule:
- This role follows a rotating 4 days on / 2 days off schedule. Employees work four consecutive days followed by two days off, repeating throughout the year. Shifts may include weekends and holidays.
Shifts:
- Morning shift- 6:30am to 2:30pm
- Evening Shift- 2:30pm to 10:30pm
- Night Shift- 10:30pm to 6:30am
