What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Support Professional position at Community Explorers Day Services, Inc.?
This is an entry level position responsible for providing Consumer-focused supports to Consumers participating in Home and Community Habilitation Program. The Day Support Professional (DSP) reports directly to the Program Manager. The Day Support Professional is a part of the community team and protects the health, safety, finances, and confidentiality of all Consumers supported by CEDS, Inc.
The Day Support Professional provides direct care, support, and advocacy to assigned I/DD Consumers in a community setting. Working as part of a team, the Day Support Professional works to implement Home and Community Habilitation (HCH) services, which includes providing rehabilitative and therapeutic activities to assist Consumers achieve successful outcomes/goals. This also includes assisting Consumers with activities of daily living.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining a safe and sanitary vehicles/work environment, maintaining accurate documentation of Consumer records, community activities, personal funds, etc. The Day Support Professional performs all work in accordance with regulatory and monitoring standards and CEDS, Inc. policies and procedures.
The Day Support Professional practices and adheres to CEDS, Inc. Mission, Vision, and VIP’s. He/she also must demonstrate CEDS, Inc. 5 Core Competencies: Professionalism, Effective Communication, Accountability, Teamwork, and Job Knowledge.
The typical workweek schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and may vary according to program needs. Driving and maintaining a valid driver’s license is required.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
