Position Summary
We are seeking compassionate, dependable Day Center Instructors to deliver individual and group learning experiences focused on life skills, self-improvement, health maintenance, and modified work skills. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
Schedule
Hours of Operation: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Available Shifts:
- 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Compensation & Benefits
- $20.00–$23.00 per hour (with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent)

Job Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and group learning activities aligned with participant service plans
- Actively support life skills instruction and personal development
- Document instructor notes immediately following each session
- Complete daily reports, timesheets, and required documentation accurately and on time
- Advocate for participant health, safety, and overall wellness
- Report incidents, concerns, or potential safety risks promptly
- Execute weekly activities according to assigned learning modules
- Assist participants with self-care needs as required
- Support meal service as needed in coordination with kitchen staff
- Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions
- Comply with mandated abuse reporting requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of experience providing direct care and supervision to individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, sit, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, and kneel
- Dependable attendance and strong teamwork skills
- Fingerprint clearance and background check required
- TB/Health screening (within the past 12 months or willing to complete)
Preferred (Not Required):
- Activity Director Certificate
- CNA Certificate
- Home Health Aide Certificate
- Personal Aide Certificate
- CPR/First Aid certification (training available)
- Bilingual Spanish speaker
