JOB SPECIFICATION
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Director of Maintenance

Summary / Purpose
A qualified individual responsible for performing skilled building and vehicle maintenance/repairs. This will require knowledge/experience of auto mechanics, carpentry, minor construction, plumbing, electrical and HVAC work. May also be responsible to train and supervise other staff assigned by the Maintenance Director
Essential Functions
1. Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance program for all CES buildings
2. Develop and maintain a safety/prevention maintenance program for all CES vehicles
3. Complete assigned work order requests which may consist of carpentry, minor construction, plumbing, electrical. HVAC, painting, flooring, janitorial or vehicle repair.
4. Required to be familiar with and use all hand/power tools common to the skills listed
5. Must be able to read and interpret drawings, sketches, OEM instructions and specifications
6. Obtain bids for repair and remodel projects including materials and contract labor if needed.
7. Assist with cost analysis on major projects that includes the maintenance hours needed to complete the task, materials and any other services needed.
8. Coordinate projects by ordering materials in a timely fashion and scheduling the labor (both maintenance and contract) needed to meet the assigned completion date.
9. Maintaining CES ground, which includes some lawn care, tree/bush trimming, snow removal etc.
10. Assist in the moving of furniture, equipment, materials, vehicles and etc.
11. Perform twenty four hour on call emergency on a maintenance crew rotation schedule.
12. Any other duties or jobs assigned by the Director of Maintenance
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED and two years of general maintenance experience.
2. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under CES automobile insurance policy.
3. Ability to read and communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with person served, staff vendors and the general public.
4. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb and lift 50 pounds or more on daily basis.

Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
