JOB SPECIFICATION

Job Title: Community Employment and Integration Coordinator
Reports To: Local Program Director
Revision Date: 06/10/2026

Summary / Purpose

Responsible for the management, coordination, and delivery of Community Employment and Integration services for persons served. These services focus on maximizing independence and supporting individuals in living productive, meaningful lives.

Essential Functions

  • Supervise all functions of the Community Employment and Integration Day Habilitation department through direct observation, staff meetings, and review of written documentation (schedules, goals, consultation forms, medical/dental reports, accident and incident reports, rights violation reports, ADP payroll, requests for funds, and communication logs).
  • Train Community Employment and Integration staff on teaching skills to persons served, implementing programs, and completing agency forms.
  • Collect, interpret, and document staff job performance and attendance data for use in employee evaluations. Complete reviews in a timely manner.
  • Oversee implementation of each person’s Individualized Plan of Care (IPC). Monitor program effectiveness, update training materials, and ensure staff provide accurate input for 6-month reviews, IPCs, and team meetings.
  • Develop and implement a Day Habilitation curriculum with engaging, inclusive activities that support individuals with diverse needs and abilities.
  • Promote community access by using the community as a classroom, directing staff to facilitate small-group learning and integration opportunities.
  • Review Therap documentation for billing accuracy, addressing errors with staff within 30 days of receipt.
  • Schedule employees in ADP on a weekly basis to ensure adequate staffing coverage while minimizing overtime whenever possible. Review employee timesheets for accuracy, document all overtime hours and the reason for the overtime within ADP, and communicate scheduling concerns to the Human Resource Director as needed.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with persons served, DVR counselors, case managers, parents/guardians, and supported employment employers.
  • Provide supervision and support for the Community Living Program when assigned as part of the on-call rotation.

Employment Standards: Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, social work, education, or a related field; and at least 1 year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities.
  • OR
  • Completion of at least 2 years of college (65 semester hours or equivalent) in the above fields; and at least 3 years of direct experience with persons with developmental disabilities.Language Skills
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Medicaid regulations, Individual Plans of Care, accreditation standards, and time study guidelines.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and training materials.
  • Strong verbal communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions from staff, persons served, employers, and families/guardians.

Mathematical Skills

  • Proficiency in calculations related to time studies, time sheets, data sheets, and money logs.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages.

Reasoning Ability

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Licenses / Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and insurability through the agency’s insurance carrier.
  • Willingness to use personal vehicle for work if necessary.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to speak and hear.
  • Close vision required for reading and documentation.

Salary : $36,277 - $45,613
