Basic Job Description: This unpaid internship position is for 20 hours per week and for someone interested in gaining experience in grant writing for a health and fitness nonprofit organization. Primary responsibilities include preparation of proposals and grant applications, researching, identifying, developing, and responding to public and private grant opportunities.
Duties: • Attend meetings • Research and identify new funding prospects • Generate proposals and supporting documents in response to solicitations • Generate revenues for CEFN’s programs and events through timely submission of well-researched, well-written, and well-documented fundraising proposals • Maintain and implement funding calendar activities • Implement systems and follow-up processes • Assist with managing and updating CEFN’s financials • Perform other duties as required.
In addition to gaining invaluable experience and skills in grant writing, the student in this position will gain leadership skills, have the ability to work remotely with a flexible work schedule, and have the freedom to develop creative ideas to enhance the internship experience and function as a consultant with CEFN’s team.
